About Us

Our Mission:

The Shanghai Association in USA was established in 2012 as a Non-Profit Organization by a group of ethnic Shanghainese in the United States. It aims to promote the connection and mutual assistance, community development and exchanges between various ethnic groups through art, economy, sports and education, and to help local immigrants and AAPI communities. The community, especially to socially disadvantaged groups including the disabled, young children and the elderly, provides an understanding of U.S. policies benefits and helps them adjust to life in the United States.

Our establishment focuses on multiple goals, with our main objective to develop our community and its residents. We have arranged for the community with cultural participation such as music, art, and physical arts. We focus on Language Access/Budget Justice Campaign, promoting Asian Martial Arts, Immigrant Integration Programming - teaching AAPI communities to understand their rights and the various systems and services available to them twice a month in person front of the Flushing Library and twice a month online seminar. Expanding the culture of Asian to all ages especially children and the older generation.

Our intent is to be the forefront in spreading peace and harmony within our community.
